When I got home from work today my wife told me that a colorful bird entered our living room and wanted my assistance to show the bird out. I dint think nutting of it at first. Then to my surprise, a Pitta standing in font of me under the table taking a poop on our floor.
"OMG!! its a pitta" I shouted, My mother in-law look at me and said "SO?" haha go figures huh!?
Its a Blue-Winged pitta ( Pitta Moluccensis ) very rare and yet there it is.. I quickly grab the camera and started taking shots. Here are some of them. Picture is taken with a Nikon D300 with Af-s Nikkor 70-300mm VR lense.
It went around the room for a while and landed on the sofa, I think it was trying to find a way out, flying around the room and it went head on against the window and black out for a while..
I took this chance to pick it up and kept it in a cage to keep it safe. The bird woke up after 3 minutes or so. Took it to the back of the house and release it and took more pictures again.
