Orchids of Kinabalu- September

kinabalu park orchids
My recent visit to Kinabalu Park discovered September is the best time to see Coelogyne Orchids. I found several species of the Coelogyne Orchids are in blooming. Orchids enthusiast no need to worry when coming to visit Kinabalu Park during this time of the year because there still some other species of orchids are in blooming too. There are 1500 different species of orchids has been recorded in Kinabalu Park so no need to worry about not seeing an orchid in Kinabalu Park. The Paphiopedilum Rothchildianum can be seen blooming all year around. Yet the Paphiopedilum Rothchildianum are extremely difficult to see in the wild. For most visitors, they can see and photograph this orchid inside the botanical garden of Kinabalu Park. The Paphiopedilum Rothchildianum has a very high demand among orchids collector around the world. Now this orchid is highly protected under the CITES convention.

TINY FROG, WHO ARE YOU ?

I went camping and hiking at Kiau recently, with a bunch of friends, at the foothill of Mount Kinabalu. During our night walk We've made a staggering discovery.. A FROG! not just any frog, the tiniest, littlest frog I ever did see. I tried my best to take photos of it. Photo was taken with a Nikon coolpix S600. Take a look.

No camera tricks here folks, it is that small!

We have identify it as species of tree frogs, but which one? can u tell me what it is? I did my best to research on it but to no avail, have we found a new species? you tell me!?
